| I have been going out with my boyfriend for almost 2years now...Lately almost everyone that we know have been suggesting or asking why we are not married yet?? He has been talking bout wanting to marry me lately also but at the same time he says he wants to do it wen its the right time??how do you know wen its the right time to get married???and how do i know if his decision is not going to be based on wat people are saying?? |

Families are usually concerned and want to see you happy, in the larger picture. Most of all, those who care about you, eventually want to see you move on with your life - to bigger and better things. This may include marriage, children, and the traditional package of "settling down". I don't believe anyone with your interests in mind would ever want to rush you into something you or your partner are not ready for. But keep it in mind that outsiders not in your relationship won't know what goes on behind closed doors, and how you're both feeling inside - whether or not you're both ready.
As smackie said, only the two of you will know. And when you do, your family will be happy that you're both "moving on" to the next stage of your lives. If it never gets to that point, then I'm sure they'll learn to be happy with that too at some point. |
