| Whenever I am around my 5'7" boyfriend (I am 5'4") I feel really insecure, we always say we want dark and handsome men but it feels like I have lucked out. Any suggestions on what I should do or how you girls feel about short guys (so I can see if it is all in my head)/ |

| That's the thing about truly being in love.....you accept the person completely, short, fat hairy whatever the stereo typical society considers as flaws in men...who cares. You did luck out and enjoy that fact that you did. |

| well 5'7 is not exactly short short..its more kinda average. tom cruise is five seven and his ex nicole was 5'10 so there u go!! besides being in love truly means accepting the other person completely no matter how he looks as long as you both love each other. |

he's average and he's taller than you are. I can't go for a shorter man. If you can't accept it (cause trust me, in the end we want what we want) then you may not want to pursue it further because u will just make him feel inadequate for no good reason at all.
I dated a guy once who did the same to me. He always reminded me that I wasn't his "type" - i'm so glad that shit ended cause there were plenty of guys who found me to be their prototype.
So, think about it. good luck |

| I dated a guy who was 5'8" and I'm 5'6.5" lol. At least you can still wear a couple of inches on ur heels without being taller than him. If it's too much of a problem then consider whether you really want to be with him. |

| In the end it definitely does matter if you are attracted to someone or not - sometimes the attraction grows through love and sometimes it doesn't - you need to decide how strong your feelings are and be honest with yourself. |

| You are not in love if you feel uncomfortable with him. Besides, I there is not that much difference... Maybe you should look for someone you really love, and you will be ok, no matter how fat, tall, bald he is. |

I think in the first stages of any dating/relationship, there is some insecurity about how others may perceive your new partner.
Keep in mind that if you feel insecure, you will naturally be unable to handle comments related to height if it comes up among your girlfriends or buddies. Your partner will eventually sense this and it's not fair to them. |
