Following on from my previous post -
I heard some really interesting opinions about Menstrual Cups from ladies within this forum, some good and some bad. It is clearly a matter of preference.
After several hours of further research, I ordered a Femmecup, which I began using last month, and I have to say - I absolutely love it!
Until now I had used tampons for over 15 years, now I am using this cup, I will never look back.
As a first time user, I would love to discuss the benefits with any one else considering switching to a cup. I know from experience that the experiences of a new user are good to know when considering making the switch.
Have a good day all

Hi Pat,
I actually know very little about menstrual cups so I hope you can share a little about why you like it so much. My impression of them is that they might potentially be uncomfortable and also be a little messy. Do you find either of these things to be a problem? Also, why bother to switch from tampons in the first place?
thanks!

| I find tampons more sanitary because of the applicator (cardboard, not plastic)......that's a reason why I don't like using OB tampons. On the other hand if you are conscientious about the environment the cup makes sense. There's no waste. |

Hi Beth,
Like anything new, it took some getting used to but now I have been using my cup for a while, I find it more comfortable than a tampon.
I switched to Femmecup for a number of reasons:
1. After reading several cases of Toxic Shock Syndrome in the past, I was concerned about the health issues of using a tampon
2. By switching to a cup I could save up to 97% on my spending on sanitary products
3. As a bit of a 'greeny', I like the fact I am doing a little extra to help the environment
