A kiss on the hand is a quaint old fashioned custom but continue the kisses up the arm and it becomes a joke, though not unpleasurable. Has anyone ever been on the receiving end of this, and do they have any funny stories to tell?
Here's mine - I was on holiday with my daughter and her husband (I'm a widow), and we were lying on the beach in trunks/bikinis. My son-in-law took his wife's hand and kissed it, then continued the kisses up her arm until he reached her shoulder. I said "I bet you wouldn't do that to me" and he said "Well, I can't resist a dare" so he did lol! Certainly the most memorable experience of the holiday!

I think you're missing the point - it was not sleazy at all but very tastefully done. I enjoyed it not because it was sexy but because it was funny - it was so out of place! It's the sort of thing that might happen to a wman when she's wearing a long ball gown, but to happen when she's wearing a skimpy bikini - well it tickled me, in more ways than one lol! And before you ask my daughter was OK about it too - she was in fits of laughter![addsig]

To each his own.
For me personally, that would be a bit "weird" if my boyfriend started to do that to my mother....no offense to you, him or her...I'm jsut saying to me, it's "different"

I don't think he meant anything by it. I don't find it weird at all. I'm sure your son in law was just being silly. It's nice that he is close enough to you, that he can joke like that. As far as kissing up the arm, I see it as something gentle. It's definitely more romantic than shoving a tongue in the mouth. YUCK![addsig]

Well said! I've only been kissed up the arm on one other occasion although I've had my hand kissed frequently.[addsig]
