Hi. My dad is writing a self-help book for men to become better husbands/people. Right now he's stuck. He needs to ask women some questions and he can't continue working on his book unless he can get help from women. We set up a survey with ten questions. I was hoping you could help. It's only ten questions long and shouldn't take more than a minute or two to complete.

Here is the link to the survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=569303867669

It would mean a lot to him if you could help us out.

Also, if this counts as spamming, I could take out the link and just type out the ten questions.

Thank you,
David[addsig]

I couldn't do this survey. I found the questions too general. Every man out there is different and I don't find the questions very fair. What do you guys think? It's a tough subject for me.[addsig]

It is my understanding that a man wrote this survey, however...

In addition to agreeing with Smackie9 100%, I found this survery to be exceedingly offensive--namely question 9:

9. There are many things that men do wrong, but what, in your opinion, is right with men?

Every time I hear a woman expressing herself about how bad men are, what they do wrong, etc etc, I really take offense. I realize that their view isn't of ALL men, just of men that they've chosen due to their skewed priorities. All my life, I've been one to hold the utmost respect for women, treat them right, etc.

Seeing this question in particular made me feel like a target of prejudice views. What a generalized statement! "In your opinion, what is right with men?" as if to sarcastically ask; As if there's nothing right with men. I've spent my life walking on the outside of the curb, holding doors, and being civalrous in general, only to recieve the short end of the stick. Were any of the things I did *right?* or what would you consider them to be?

If by wrong, you mean things that sometimes get on your nerves like us leaving the toilet seat up, then sure, men do a lot of things wrong. But then again, it's your choice to let trivial things like that sway your view on men so far as to create survey saying blatantly that men barely do anything right.

Sorry for the rant, but I get really offended when I hear generalized statements like that about men. I've sat back and watched all the "Asshole" in the leather jackets and sunglasses walk away with the sweet girl. In my opinion, it's guys like me who do what is predominantly "right." When you say a generalized statement like that, you're not only stabbing the asshole guys you've been with, you're stabbing guys like me who want nothing more than to find a woman and make her happy.

I know that the questions seem very general, but he only needs a few women to take the survey. It isn't a real professional-made survey and he probably typed it all up in like five minutes or so, but from what I've seen of his book, it is very detailed and seems like it would help asshole husbands/boyfriends/men become a lot better people. He just needs to get past this bump in the road so he can finish the last three chapters.

And, Matt, I'm sorry that question 9 offended you. It wasn't intended to be offensive. I think that it is mainly talking about the asshole-men stereotype when it said that there are many things wrong with men.

I do agree with you, though. I wouldn't want to be categorized in the same group as jerks. I'm generally a nice person.[addsig]

I thought they were very good questions and a good survey. I enjoyed answering the questions and I don't think anything was hard about answering them.[addsig]
