Dance is fun for exercise.. I would suggest you try zumba if you don't have a background in dance. Its a lot of fun.. But what those girls are doing looks pretty hard I'm sure they have a background in dance. But even the Choreographer says is hard.. did you see this video, looks rough http://blogs.msg.com/themonitor/2009/07 ... ons-video/

Dancing is not only a good exercise routine, but it can even be a confidence booster. A friend of mine who loves to dance has this to say:

I think dancing is good for the exercise and with dancing you can move all your body in one or another direction and it can keep you fit if you love dancing.

Dancing is pretty much all I do for exercise and I have to tell you, it really is one of the most effective and fun ways to get in shape and lose weight. I find that technical dance classes, such as Jazz are perfect all around for getting in shape - they provide a pilates-type warm-up that strengthens and tones muscles while the actual dance part of the class is the cardio! it's a win-win situation Smile

Yes, I also do dancing to stay fit. I remember when I'm in college my friend and I used to play hiphop songs in our dorm and we just dance until we drop. lol So fun and refreshing.

Dance exercise is based on interval training. Interval training is the best method for losing fat. The secret to fitness success is not how many calories you burn during the routines, but how many you burn after the exercise. When your muscles are engaged they tend to continue to work, burning calories as much as several hours later.
