Is it having symmetry? is it have the desireable figure and waist to hip ratios? Is it that which pleases the senses? Is it the neked female body? (Females sure look nice) Is it that which illuminates truth? Is beauty that which is unattainable? Is it irony?

Beauty is very hard to define, and it seems to be different for everyone. Sadly, a lot of our public perception of beauty is based on television and movies, and way too many people feel inadequate if they don't measure up to that standard. There are some common characteristics I usually find beautiful, but there are exceptions. A lot of exceptions. I think bellapierre has it right. There's an old Star Trek episode from the original 1960's series called "Mudd's Women". I won't go into the plot, but the message is you are beautiful if you believe you are.  |

| I think it depends on who your talking to. I feel beauty is the uniqueness that each person had. There is something beautiful about everyone. There is a very commercial look that is portrayed as beauty on tv or in magazines, but there are so many other forms of it. |

well i remember seeing a program on the human face on the ABC - they said that it was scientifically shown that symmetry is desirable in features. face or body.
apart from that i think its a pretty open idea - some guys like curves, some red hair, some freckles....anything! |

| beauty is relative. there can't be technically the most beautiful face. there are many things that affect how someone sees you as beautiful. two people can look exactly the same but if one smells better then chances are she will be seen as more attractive. just one example |

Wear something comfortable, and something thats totally you. It tends to bug me when people wear something that isnt them just because its 'in.'
For the hair, make sure its something that doesnt take a long time to do, and something that is pretty casual, but something a bit more special as its the first day. Like curls, or if your hair is naturally curly, than straight.
The biggest tip anyone can give you though is to SMILE! If you smile, you'll look more confident, and everyone looks awesome in a smile, no matter what you're wearing.

Beauty? That differs from region to region.
I live in southern California and there's a very strong physical beauty culture here. The emphasis is on young, very thin women with large boobs and a "heathy" glow. This look is not natural, even the healthy glow is made with cosmetics. To produce this "ideal" look, women flock to plastic surgeons, deprive themselves of food, and pile on harsh chemicals in the form of cosmetics. Its a horrible situation for the women being butchered under the knife, for the women who decide not to go under the knife and are ostracized for it, and for young guys and gals who are absorbing this "ideal" and perpetuating it.
What is beauty? Thats a good question.

| I treat beauty as a package. Overall beauty of a person for me doesn't only lie with the physical aspect. I think it also comes with your personality. Even a simple looking woman can be the most beautiful person on earth by the pleasant personality she reflects. |
