i'm 23 and i live with my parents in the week, because i study there. during my free time, weekends and holidays, i stay with my bf in another city. when i'm away, my mother calls me at least once a day (it goes up to 4 times). the first call is always in the morning and she usually manages to wake me up. and the worst is, she's got nothing to say. it also upsets my bf...
what shall i do??? |

| Ask her nicely to stop calling you in the mornings. She isn't going to stop unless you ask her to. |

Politely tell her that you will start calling her when your not at home or ask her to call you later in the day. Just tell her that when she calls it wakes your and your boyfriend up and that it would be nice of her to call when the two of you are fully awake and then can talk. If you have a close relationship with your mother then she should understand. I'm 23 as well and I remember when I first moved in with my boyfriend, my mother would call me every morning and just talk about pointless things or her work problems. Did I mention that shes a rambler  So that really made my boyfriend mad, because she would keep me on the phone for a long time. Then as the days went on I would tell her I couldn't talk or had to go, and I would just call her back when I had free time.

| Just tell her your with them all week, its not like she never sees you . And that on the weekends you like qualitly time with your b/f. or.. you could start calling her at 2, 3, 4, 5 am in the morning.. wakeing her up every hour !!! ha ha .. just kidding..But I agree, she probably wont stop unless you tell her its inturupting your time with him. |

| Haha mom's are so funny I swear deep down they are all the same. My mom started in with the morning calls the day I moved out. She would call me before my alarm clock went off and that used to irk me to death. So any way long story short I told her never to call me before noon or I was sure to be grumpy and angry all day, and she did. Your mom just loves you and want to be near you all the time you will always be her baby. Clich`e but true. |
