I think that everyone on this board can agree that to some degree we are all survivors. And sometimes you need to find other survivors that you can relate to or just some that can offer you some much needed perspective on your own problems. If this sounds like it applies to you then you should check out the new documentary series "I Survived" on the Biography Channel. It features people from all walks of life that have survived extreme circumstances. "I Survived" is different from other reality shows about survival stories in that there are no reenactments and shows the person directly telling you what happened in first-person.
I work for Bio so I got to preview the first episode and I noticed that besides showing survival tactics, each story ends with a point of triumph and inspiration. A woman who is raped and shot feels an invisible force guide her through a field to successfully find help. Two plane crash victims are able to miraculously contact a 911 operator in an area known to never have reception. As painful as these stories are they do emphasize on finding the light at the end. If you want to know more about the show or preview clips you can at http://www.biography.com/isurvived/ . Does this sound like something you guys would be interested in watching?
