| we have wood floors throughout the house, i do use a mop, i've tried all kinds of cleaners, but i have come across something that i love, tea tree oil, it cleans the floor's, disinfects and has a nice smell too. the only thing is you have to change the water for each room, you'd be surprised at how dirty the floors can get. good luck. |

| I always sweep, then use a swiffer or something. Every now and then I'll vaccuum with the setting on "high" so it doesn't scratch. I researched how to clean hardwood floors on the scott common sense community - a lot of people with much more cleaning sense than I submitted their cleaning tips - and someone offered this tip to clean the floors: After vacuuming hardwood floors wipe down with vinegar. Apply with a paper towel. Floors stay shiny longer at great savings. Let me know if you try it and it works! |
